After 4 years of research and development and field trials, PAV Data launched its product range of Free Space Optical Transmission Systems. Since the launch in 1994, the family of products has grown comprehensively and now incorporates equipment, which can connect computer networks, telecommunications systems and GSM Cellular telecommunications systems.

The Datacoms range SkyNet® offers the ability to provide considerable cost savings over conventional methods of connectivity whilst, in many cases, increasing valuable bandwidth. With over 6 years proven operation and some 2000+ installations world-wide, the SkyNet® Series of networking products provide fully upgradeable, cost effective solutions for today and tomorrow's networking requirements.

The Telecoms range SkyCom™  have been developed for the interconnection of telecommunications systems, in response to customer requirements for alternative solutions to expensive high speed, fixed and microwave infrastructure.

The SkyCell™ Series offers a G.703 connection (E1/E2/E3 and multiple E1) and is operational over distances of up to 4000 metres, making an ideal, cost effective replacement for leased lines or direct cable installations, between GSM Base Stations and Micro/Pico remote stations (BSC to BST
